Jaheim comes up with a big win with “Never” this week as the song grabs the #1 slot on the Urban AC Chart beating out Keyshia Cole’s “I Remember.” “Never” is the first single from Jaheim’s latest CD, The Makings Of A Man, which has sold over 500,000 units since its release late Dec 07. Second single, “I’ve Changed,” which features Cole, is setting up at radio now.

Rapper Lil Wayne revealed this week he worked with U.S. music sensation Kanye West on three tracks for his upcoming "Tha Carter III" album.
Wayne said the Kanye will be featured on three "Carter" songs, adding that other album tracks will include performances from rappers Jim Jonson, Deezle and Swizz Beatz, Billboard reported Friday.

Hip-hop superstar Jay-Z has fired back at reports claiming he has been asking record companies for "way too much" money to launch his self-titled label. The "99 Problems" rapper quit his post as president of Def Jam Records in December and was alleged to be planning to start his own venture on another label.
He has since been linked to Warner Music Group and computer company Apple as he bids to launch Carter Music Group, but neither reported deals have come into fruition.

 Busta Rhymes has been sentenced for assaulting his former driver and a fan after pleading guilty in a deal that puts him on probation for three years and requires him to do 10 days of community service.
The 35-year-old rapper also was fined $1,250, plus court costs, for driving while intoxicated and with a suspended license, and must enroll in a drunken driving program.
Manhattan Criminal Court Judge Larry Stephen warned Rhymes on Tuesday: "If you mess up, you're going to jail." Hmmmmm these rappers really need to get it together 35 is a little too old to be going to court for assault.
