Lil Wayne is taping the power of the social networking giant to release a new promotional album, he is also teaming up with AT&T to release a new song through the social networking site. AT&T reports Lil Wayne is the most popular musical artist on Facebook and that more of AT&T's customers downloaded his ringtones last year than any other artist. Looks like Lil Wayne understands what the future of music is all about.

In the latest 50 Cent news his reality show 'The Money and the Power' was recently canceled by MTV due to low ratings, some might see this and say well TV is a volatile industry and shows have short shelf lives no me though. I see deeper into the declining trend of the 50 Cent brand. Lets look at the anticipation for his latest album 'Before I self Destruct' well there is virtually no anticipation for it, he released what he thought was a surefire number one hit in 'Get Up' but that ended up tanking, it debuted at number 44 on the Hot 100 but that was as high as it got. His new album was pushed back till Feb 2009 with its original release date being Feb 2008.
We see a common trend in the Hip Hop culture of over exposure and that is what in my opinion is causing the decline of the 50 Cent brand. Who is next to be over exposed, Lil Wayne?
