Forbes releases its to 20 list for Hip Hop's biggest money earners for 2008. In the 2008 edition of this list we see the familiar faces, but there are also a few surprises that we see on this list. Coming in at number 12 Eminem, he hasn't released a record in years, yet he still took in 12 million (guess him signing 50 cent was not a bad look at all). Also coming in at number 12 Common, never new being a conscious rapper was so lucrative Common raked in 12 million for the year. Chamillionaire certainly raised his stock last year by dropping negative lyrics from his recordings that smart move landed him the number 14 spot on the list he brought in 10 million. Not on the list: Tupac pulled in 15 million which is amazing considering he has been dead for over 12 years. 1. Curtis "50 Cent" Jackson: $150 million 2. Shawn "Jay-Z" Carter: $82 million 3. Sean "Diddy" Combs: $35 million 4. Kanye West: $30 million 5. Timothy "Timbaland" Mosley: $22 million 6. Pharrell Williams: $20 million 7. Kasseem "Swizz Beatz" Dean: $17 million 8.
